"The ethos of Oh la la Shop is to offer affordable high quality traditional French soaps from Marseille, lavender and confectionery from Provence, biscuits and homemade jams. I am from Marseille and have been living in the UK since 1997. I hope to bring a bit of Oh la la in your life and share my passion for these products . They have been part of my life since childhood and are not easily found, of poor quality or expensive here. So after many disappointments, I decided to import the real ‘stuff’ . I hope you’ll treat yourself or someone you love to some of these fantastic products.”

The original product is unperfumed (see our original cubes) but individual soap makers add fragrances. Some manufacturers add shea butter or honey but we believe that this adulterates the product.
Because the soap contains only natural ingredients, it is very kind to the skin and eczema sufferers often tolerate French Soap better than any other.
